Angular front-ends. Java & Spring back-ends. Building healthcare and wellness platforms used by millions worldwide.
About
I build production web applications across the stack - Angular front-ends with strict typing and signal-based state, Spring Boot services with clean REST contracts, and Drupal sites that scale.
Currently a Senior-Level Software Developer at Re-Software, Inc., embedded with the Ventricle Pod in the CARES Program at Emory University. I build and maintain NextGen CARES - a CDC- and Emory-developed cardiac arrest registry covering 34 state registries with 170M+ catchment and 1M+ patients enrolled.
In parallel, I have been a contracted engineer on Vitality Group's global wellness platform since 2022 - used by 27M+ members across 38 markets. Before software, I led teams of up to sixty at the Georgian Revenue Service for over a decade.
Toolkit
Picked over years on real projects - proven on the NextGen CARES cardiac registry and the Vitality global wellness platform.
Signals-first Angular with strict typing and OnPush change detection.
Java and Spring Boot REST services with clean contracts.
Drupal sites, custom modules, and Twig theming.
Build, ship, and run - version control, containers, CI/CD, and tests in between.
Selected work
Long-running engagements where I own the work end-to-end, from spec and design to release. Click through any card for the deep case study.
Senior-Level Software Developer· Re-Software, Inc. - Emory University CARES Program
The Angular front-end and Java / Spring Boot back-end behind NextGen CARES. I build the clinical reporting and dashboard layer on a reusable, smart / dumb component architecture - so a growing surface of registry views composes from proven, presentational pieces that public-health teams can read and act on.
Software Developer (Angular + Java / Spring Boot)· Vitality Group Inc.
A multi-year build on Vitality’s global wellness platform, serving tens of millions of members. My work centred on two systems the business leans on daily: a dynamic-forms engine built with Formly - paired with a survey-builder tool that lets the team launch new forms and surveys without shipping code - and an admin tool for granting roles and feature-level access across the platform.
Angular Developer · Drupal Developer· Omedia
My home base - the Tbilisi agency where my full-stack practice lives. Across a varied client portfolio I build Angular front-ends and Spring Boot APIs, leaning on a shared set of Angular patterns and tooling I carry from one project to the next, and develop and maintain Drupal sites wherever that’s the right tool for the brief.
Working with me
Nikoloz combines strong technical skills with a deep sense of responsibility. You can trust him with critical projects and know they’ll be handled professionally. He's super detail-oriented, always willing to help, and consistently sets a high standard. A pleasure working with someone so committed and dependable.
It is a real privilege to work with Nikoloz. His influence went far beyond the code he wrote. He improved our engineering standards, challenged assumptions, and helped raise the quality of the entire team. Nikoloz always shares his knowledge, is very hardworking, and is a reliable professional.
Before software development
From 2010 to 2022, I served at the Georgian Revenue Service, holding several roles culminating in Deputy Head of Division for eight years. I led teams of up to 60 people across multi-stakeholder projects with public and private partners - strategic planning, delivery oversight, and team growth.
That background still shapes the way I work as an engineer: I scope before I code, write documentation that survives a hand-off, and keep the people who depend on the system in the picture.
Translating broad objectives into concrete, measurable initiatives the team can execute on.
Coordinating projects with up to 60 contributors across public and private stakeholders.
Mentoring, hiring, and shaping a culture where people grow into the next role.
